Partner Code Of Conduct for Using  
LA Velique

1. Purpose La Velique and SGU Living are committed to providing professional, reliable and transparent property, accommodation and concierge services.This Partner Code of Conduct sets the standards expected from every Property Owner, landlord, contractor, supplier, concierge provider and other preferred partner working with us.By joining our partner network or accepting a referral or booking through us, the Partner agrees to follow this Code alongside any separate written agreement.

Professional standards

Partners must:act honestly, professionally and respectfully;provide services with reasonable care and skill;arrive and deliver services at the agreed time;maintain appropriate appearance and conduct;communicate delays or problems promptly;use suitably trained and experienced personnel; and avoid behaviour that could damage the reputation of La Velique or SGU Living.Partners must not attend a Property or provide a service while impaired by alcohol, illegal drugs or any substance that could affect safety or performance.

Legal compliance

Partners must comply with all applicable laws and maintain any licence, registration, permit, certification or insurance required for their service.Partners are responsible for ensuring that their employees, subcontractors, vehicles, equipment and business activities are properly authorised and insured.We may request evidence of licences, qualifications, references, insurance or other supporting documents before approving or continuing a partnership.

Honest information and fair pricing

Partners must provide complete and accurate information about:prices and additional charges;availability;service inclusions and exclusions;cancellation conditions;Property facilities and condition;l icences and qualifications; and any restrictions that could affect the customer.Partners must not use misleading photographs, descriptions, prices or claims.Prices agreed through La Velique or SGU Living must be honoured. No undisclosed fee, surcharge, gratuity or commission may be demanded from a customer.

Customer care

Every customer must be treated with courtesy, patience and respect.Discrimination, harassment, intimidation, aggressive behaviour, sexual misconduct or abusive language will not be tolerated.Partners must make reasonable efforts to accommodate legitimate customer needs and must never exploit a customer’s unfamiliarity with Grenada, the local market or local pricing.6. Safety and service quality Partners must take reasonable steps to protect customers, Guests, Tenants, staff and property.Equipment, vehicles, Properties and facilities must be clean, safe, maintained and suitable for their intended use.Any accident, injury, security incident, serious complaint or damage involving a referred customer must be reported to La Velique or SGU Living promptly.A Partner must not provide a service where doing so would be unsafe, unlawful or outside the Partner’s qualifications.

Property partners and landlords

Property Owners and landlords must:have legal authority to advertise and let the Property;disclose material defects or restrictions;maintain the Property in a safe and reasonable condition;provide accurate rental, deposit and utility information; honour confirmed rates and availability;respect the privacy and lawful occupancy rights of Guests and Tenants;provide reasonable notice before non-emergency access;respond promptly to urgent maintenance issues; and handle deposits and deductions fairly and transparently.Properties must not be offered through us if they are subject to an undisclosed ownership dispute, restriction or competing booking that could prevent the confirmed occupancy.

Concierge and service partners

Concierge Partners must confirm the price, availability, meeting point, timings and important service conditions before accepting a booking.A service must not be materially changed, substituted or cancelled without promptly informing us and the customer.Where a substitute provider is required, the substitute must meet equivalent professional, safety, licensing and insurance standards.

Confidentiality and personal information

Customer, Property Owner and business information must be treated as confidential.Personal information received through La Velique or SGU Living may be used only to provide the agreed service.Partners must not:sell or share customer information;add customers to marketing lists without consent;contact customers for unrelated purposes;publish customer photographs without permission; or retain identification or payment information unnecessarily.Suspected loss, theft or unauthorised disclosure of personal information must be reported immediately.

Referrals and non circumvention

Partners must respect the commercial relationship created by La Velique or SGU Living.A Partner must not use an introduction, enquiry, booking request or customer information supplied by us to divert the same transaction outside the agreed booking process for the purpose of avoiding commission, referral fees or other agreed charges.Booking changes, extensions and repeat services arising directly from our introduction must be handled in accordance with the applicable Partner Agreement.This does not prevent a customer from making an independent choice or prevent a Partner from accepting genuinely independent business where our information or introduction has not been misused.Specific commission rates, protection periods and payment obligations will be contained in the Partner’s written agreement.

Payments and commission

Partners must provide accurate invoices, booking records and payment information.Agreed commission or referral fees must be paid within the period stated in the Partner Agreement.Partners must not conceal completed bookings, booking extensions or customer payments where commission is payable.Customer deposits and advance payments must be kept and applied responsibly. Refunds must be processed in accordance with the confirmed booking terms and applicable law.

Branding and public representation

Partners may describe themselves as a La Velique or SGU Living preferred partner only while formally approved.Our names, logos, photographs and marketing materials may not be used without permission.Partners must not:claim to be employed by La Velique or SGU Living;make commitments on our behalf without authority;issue unauthorised statements to the media;imply an exclusive relationship unless agreed; or use our branding in misleading advertising.

Approval to use our branding ends automatically when the partnership ends.

SGU Living independence

SGU Living is an independent service operated under La Velique and is not affiliated with, endorsed by, sponsored by or acting on behalf of St. George’s University.Partners must not suggest that:they are officially approved by St. George’s University; SGU Living is a university department;a Property is official university accommodation; or the University guarantees or accepts responsibility for their service.University names, abbreviations, logos and trademarks must not be used without the appropriate permission.

Property partners and landlords

Conflicts, gifts and improper conduct

Partners must disclose any conflict of interest that could affect their service or recommendation.Bribery, kickbacks, fraudulent commissions, secret payments and falsified records are prohibited.Reasonable hospitality or customary gratuities may be accepted, but Partners must not pressure customers to provide gifts, tips or personal benefits.

Complaints and cooperation

Partners are encouraged to:reduce unnecessary waste;protect Grenada’s natural environment;respect local communities and residential areas;avoid disturbance and excessive noise; andsupport responsible and sustainable tourism.

Breaches of this Code

Failure to follow this Code may result in:a request for corrective action;removal of preferred-partner status;suspension of referrals or bookings;removal from our website and marketing;termination of the partnership; orreferral to the appropriate authority where required.The action taken will depend on the seriousness and frequency of the breach.

Acceptance

By accepting referrals, bookings or preferred-partner status from La Velique or SGU Living, the Partner confirms that they have read, understood and agreed to follow this Partner Code of Conduct.
