Booking Terms for Using  LA Velique

These Booking Terms apply to accommodation reserved or arranged through La Velique and SGU Living. They should be read together with our Terms and Conditions, Cancellation and Refund Policy, Privacy Policy and any property-specific booking, rental or tenancy agreement. By submitting a booking request, making a payment or signing a booking or tenancy agreement, you confirm that you have read and accepted these Booking Terms.

About our booking services

La Velique arranges short-term and long-term accommodation, including villas, apartments, residential properties and related services in Grenada. SGU Living is a specialist service operated under La Velique, primarily serving students, faculty, staff, visiting parents and other members of the St. George’s University community. Both La Velique and SGU Living may arrange short-term or long-term accommodation. The booking type shown in your Booking Confirmation determines which terms apply.

Our role

Depending on the Property, we may act as:the direct accommodation provider; a property manager acting for the Owner;a booking or letting agent acting for the Owner; oran introduction service connecting the customer with an independent Owner or Provider. The Booking Confirmation will identify the Property, dates, price, payment schedule and, where applicable, the Owner or Provider responsible for supplying the accommodation. Where we act as an agent, the accommodation contract may be between the customer and the Property Owner. A separate rental or tenancy agreement may also be required.

Booking eligibility

The person making the booking must:be at least 18 years old;have legal authority to enter into the booking;provide complete and accurate information;have permission to act for every person included in the booking; andaccept responsibility for ensuring that all Guests or occupants follow these Booking Terms and the Property’s rules. We may request photographic identification and reasonable supporting information before confirming a booking. SGU Living may also request evidence of university enrolment, employment, faculty status or the customer’s relationship to a member of the SGU community where a Property or special rate is restricted to that community.

Booking requests and confirmation

Submitting an inquiry or booking request does not guarantee availability and does not create a confirmed booking.A booking is confirmed only when:availability has been verified; we have issued a written Booking Confirmation;the required payment has cleared;requested identification or supporting documents have been received; and any required booking, rental or tenancy agreement has been accepted or signed.Customers should not book flights or make non-refundable travel arrangements until written confirmation has been received. The customer must check the Booking Confirmation carefully and report any error as soon as reasonably possible.

Information included in your Booking Confirmation

The Booking Confirmation will normally include:the Property address or location;the booking type arrival and departure dates or tenancy start date;the number of authorised occupants;the accommodation price and currency; taxes and additional charges;included and excluded utilities;the required booking, holding or security deposit;the payment schedule;the cancellation conditions; andany Property-specific rules or requirements. Where the Booking Confirmation contains Property-specific terms that differ from these general Booking Terms, the Property-specific terms will apply, provided they were clearly disclosed before payment and comply with applicable law.

Short Term Bookings

A Short-Term Booking is accommodation provided for a temporary visit or holiday and is normally identified as such in the Booking Confirmation. A Short-Term Booking is intended to provide a temporary license to occupy the Property and does not create a residential tenancy, to the extent permitted by law. Short-Term payment schedule unless the Booking Confirmation states otherwise:a booking deposit of 30% of the total accommodation price is required to confirm the booking;the remaining balance must be paid 30 calendar days before check-in; and bookings made within 30 days of check-in must be paid in full when confirmed. The booking deposit forms part of the accommodation price. It is separate from any refundable security or damage deposit. If payment is not received by the due date, we may give notice requiring payment. If payment remains outstanding, the booking may be cancelled and the applicable cancellation charge deducted.

Where the tenancy begins part-way through a month, the first rental payment may be calculated on a prorated basis.A security deposit cannot be used as the final month’s rent unless the Owner agrees in writing.
